Mobile Crisis Team in Toronto (MCIT)

Mobile Crisis Intervention Teams (MCIT) are collaborative partnerships between participating hospitals and the Toronto Police Service. The program partners a mental-health nurse and a specially trained police officer to respond to 9-1-1 emergency and police dispatch calls involving individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. The team will assess needs and connect the person in crisis with appropriate services.An MCIT consists of a nurse and a police officer.

In Toronto:

Etobicoke/Humber River Hospital- (416) 808-2222, seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m, service borders : from Steeles Avenue down to the CPR tracks and from the Humber River over to the CNR tracks

Gerstein Centre Crisis Line- (416) 929-5200 service borders: south to the lake, north to Eglington Avenue, east to Bayview Avenue to Danforth and then to Victoria Park Avenue, west to Jane Street

St. Mike’s Hospital Mobile Crisis Team via Police Department accessible through police by calling 911

North York/Etobicoke:
